The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has issued an important regulatory order regarding the delegation of powers to CDSCO zonal offices. The decision aims to streamline regulatory processes related to veterinary drugs and test licensing in India.
As per the order issued under the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945, specific regulatory functions have been delegated to designated CDSCO Zonal Offices. These powers include the authority to grant Test Licenses in Form 11 and issue No Objection Certificates (NOC) in Form 29 for the import of veterinary drugs intended for testing, analysis, or examination.
